Physiotherapy at Bãnhũs™

Independent Physiotherapist: Alan Moffatt

A reputable physiotherapist is a member of the chartered society and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

Physiotherapy helps restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability.

Physiotherapy is a science-based profession and takes a ‘whole person’ approach to health and wellbeing, which includes the patient’s general lifestyle.

At the core is the patient’s involvement in their own care, through education, awareness, empowerment and participation in their treatment.

You can benefit from physiotherapy at any time in your life. Physiotherapy helps with back pain or sudden injury, managing long-term medical condition such as arthritis, and in preparing for childbirth or a sporting event.

At Banhus Health and Fitness, we benefit from an onsite physiotherapist equipped to assess and treat musculoskeletal conditions including low back pain, joint pain, strains and sprains, fracture and surgery rehabilitation.

The assessment process will include obtaining a detailed history of your problem, and thorough physical assessment of the exposed affected area. It is important to wear loose comfortable clothing for the appointment.  It may be necessary to communicate with your GP with your permission.

Treatment techniques utilised may include:

Individualised exercise programmes

Client education

Joint mobilisations and manipulation

Soft tissue techniques

Kinesiology taping

Pilates/core stability strengthening
